Defensor appoints Niclas Colliander as Group Chief Executive Officer
Defensor Group AB ("Defensor") today announces the appointment of Niclas Colliander as Group Chief Executive Officer. The appointment marks the next phase in the company's development and reinforces its ambition to establish a long-term, relevant player within the Nordic defence industry.
Niclas Colliander is a former fighter pilot in the Swedish Air Force, with extensive experience flying the JAS 39 Gripen. He subsequently worked at Boston Consulting Group and most recently served as Managing Director of defence company Metrea Simulations.
Max Jägerbring, who has served as CEO since inception, will remain within Defensor's management team and assume a central role as Chief Commercial Officer. In this capacity, he will lead group-wide initiatives and ensure that Defensor develops and delivers solutions aligned with the needs of its customers and end users.
"I look forward to working closely with Niclas and our businesses to further develop Defensor into a group with long-term relevance to the Nordic defence industry, firmly anchored in the needs of our customers," says Max Jägerbring.
Since its establishment just over six months ago, Defensor has invested in and brought together four Swedish defence businesses. These companies, founded and led by committed entrepreneurs, demonstrate strong delivery track records and technical innovation, addressing real operational challenges for customers and end users.
"I am very pleased to join Max and the team in continuing to develop Defensor. The platform established over a short period is impressive and provides a strong foundation for building a long-term player that contributes to increased effectiveness within the Nordic defence industry," says Niclas Colliander, Chief Executive Officer of Defensor.
The appointment takes effect today.
